Default fansite friday 60

I want to highlight this part from the FF interview which kind of displeased me. No, i'm not ranting, i just think it isn't fair on the people who have already racked their brains for all the good ideas they can think of.

...a new Halloween contest will be rolling out on Monday, and we expect a lot of interest because it’s one of those open-ended contests where if a fan comes up with a really cool idea that isn’t exactly on the list of things we suggest, we’re going to give it a good look and consider it for a prize, anyway.
I know of one really good idea which i submitted a long time ago and was subsequently copied by others and mutated etc etc. Who would get a prize for it and how would one prove that their idea is actually theirs?
I know i am not the only person who feels short-changed by this "event".

Personally, i was hoping for an in-game event such as weird monsters for a weekend or a weekend invasion.
I will however try to get as involved as i can and think of some good ideas but i feel drained of ideas to tell the truth.

The part that dissappointed me was "We're -trying- to get intra-guild battles in in time for chapter 2"

Also no new pvp modes.
Suddenly a lot of new features I was hoping was just around the corner are now seemingly post chapter 2, ie. middle of next year sometime.

Then again, I guess it's understandable that chapter 2 should be their top priority - they were supposed to release an expansion pack every 6 months or so to keep their money up, but instead it will be longer, so we cant expect them to do much "free" work after Sorrow's. :/

Even so, there isn't much in the way of "a world that changes while you play" and we could at least have a monster rotation once a week or something to keep things fresh.
The titan quests breathed so much life into old areas but it was so short-lived. Let's see more rotation Anet! Random boss spawnings is too little.
There are plenty of non-mission/quest areas that can be beefed up with new monsters on a rotation basis. Surely it isn't that difficult to do?

Anyway, i can't wait for the expansion. Hopefully the new areas for PvE will be larger than Tyria and we will have lots more replayability. I'm hoping that it isn't too PvP orientated though. I don't mean that in a selfish way, because God knows you PvPers deserve more! I'd have quit a long time ago if i only had the limited arenas that you people endure...i mean enjoy

The FF does sound like it's all guild orientated so i hope they aren't forgetting the huge population of people like myself Fingers crossed for some more good stuff for everyone before C2!
